Planning - Scoping 

Project Overview

The South Downtown Transportation Plan (2023) recommended significant alterations to Centennial Olympic Park Drive. The current scoping study, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the 2024, is exploring the implementation of the following elements between M.L. King Jr. Dr. and Portman Boulevard: 

• Extending the existing PATH Parkway / Luckie Street Trail along Centennial Olympic Park Dr. south of Portman Blvd. to M.L. King Jr. Dr.
• Installing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to support special events needs
• Improving curbside management to support loading/unloading
