Programs That Illuminate Downtown

Since the launch of its programs in 2020, the Atlanta Arts & Entertainment District (AAED) has engaged over 200 creatives through dynamic activations. Beginning with In Light..., the District’s inaugural outdoor exhibition, the initiative has grown to include a diverse array of public art installations, live performances, and placemaking projects throughout Downtown Atlanta. The program continues to spotlight and uplift local talent, with a special focus on Atlanta-based artists, while fostering vibrant community connections.

Atlanta Downtown's Art and Activation program now extends beyond the AAED signage platform to activate a network of Downtown spaces, authentically showcasing the city’s creativity, diversity, and cultural vibrancy. Signature initiatives like Downtown Windows, seasonal activations on the Broad Street Boardwalk, and curated public art projects transform streets and public spaces into engaging venues for art, music, and culture.
