Fifteen-year-old pianist Joey Alexander learned about jazz from his dad, who exposed his son to a variety of classic albums from his extensive collection. Joey began teaching himself to play piano at age six. His musicianship and grasp of jazz fundamentals advanced at a remarkable pace and at the age of eight he played solo piano for Herbie Hancock.
