The Studio Artist Program has been an integral part of Atlanta Contemporary’s campus and programming for decades. Providing partially subsidized studio space for local Atlanta artists, the SAP grants artists space to create new work, opportunities to engage with the public, and features a dedicated space within the main building to showcase an individual studio artist’s artwork. Open Studios is a twice-annual event which opens the normally closed doors of the artists’ studios and invites the public to view the workspaces, talk with the artists, and enjoy the exhibitions currently on view.
