Jackson Street Bridge

ATLDOT Project No. 1126

STATUS

Construction -

Notice to Proceed was issued to Hasbun Construction for construction to start in early July 2025 and is expected to be complete early 2026.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Jackson Street Bridge Project was conceived and developed by Neighborhood Planning Unit M and the Atlanta Department of City Planning's Placemaking Program. The bridge offers one of Atlanta's most iconic skyline views and is a favorite gathering spot for both residents and visitors.

The project scope includes reconfiguring the right-of-way along Jackson Street to create a safer and more vibrant space for people. The reorganization supports a new pedestrian area extending beyond the sidewalk and a protected cycling connection between the Freedom Parkway Trail and Baker-Highland Trail.

CAP/ADID is partnering with the City of Atlanta to serve as the project implementation manager.
